The Cosmopolitan Imagination: The Renewal of Critical Social Theory

PD Dr. Fergal Lenehan is Principal Investigator on the BMBF-funded research project “ReDICo: Researching Digital Interculturality Co-operatively” (2020-2024). He has authored a monograph on the idea of Europe in Germany, Britain and Ireland, Intellectuals and Europe (2014), and a monograph on perceptions of Ireland in Germany, Stereotypes, Ideology and Foreign Correspondents (2016). In 2021 he co-edited Reclaiming the European Street, the collected speeches and essays of poet, sociologist, public intellectual and Irish President Michael D. Higgins.
